ROBIN M. SEXTON

Robin Sexton serves as a Senior Advisor at HillStaffer. A well-known PAC expert, Ms. Sexton has over 25 years of experience providing political action committee management for both corporate and association clients. She is proficient in all aspects of the Federal Election Campaign Act, has a strong working relationship with the FEC, and extensive understanding of PAC management and structure issues, procedural documentation, and audit best-practices.

Ms. Sexton began to develop her expertise in the PAC industry shortly after the passage of the Federal Election Commission Act while working at Corning Incorporated. As the PAC and Grassroots Director, she was actively involved in the political community through her involvement with BIPAC, the Public Affairs Council, the US Chamber of Commerce, and Women in Government Relations. Following her position at Corning, Ms. Sexton has worked directly with some of America’s most successful companies, including Honeywell, FMC Corporation, Duke Energy, and Quest Diagnostics. Over the years, she has also provided consulting services to other PAC service providers including, Vocus, 720 Strategies, Political Action Committee Services, Aristotle, Stakeholder and Gnossos (now owned by Vocus). Through her work with these organizations, Ms. Sexton has shared her knowledge and expertise with many additional organizations, including NiSource, Exxon Mobil, Constellation Energy, Nuclear Energy Institute, Motion Picture Association of American, CSX, Pitney Bowes and the National Right to Life.

Ms. Sexton is well-regarded by FEC staff and has acted as a liaison between clients and their analyst or FEC auditors. Using her experience, Ms. Sexton developed an audit process for PACs that takes into account both the financial aspect of the PAC, as well as the FEC requirements and the processes related to them. She works with organizations to provide documentation of their procedures as part of PAC succession planning. Ms. Sexton continues to build and maintain strong ties in the political action committee community.

A native Marylander, Ms. Sexton graduated from the University of Maryland with a BS in marketing. She resides in Crofton, Maryland, with her family, and is active in her church and community.
