Morgan Muchnick

Morgan Muchnick is a Senior Advisor with HillStaffer, bringing clients over 20 years of strategic advisory expertise in public policy, and regulatory and legislative issues in cyber-security, data privacy, Homeland Security, and energy sectors.

Mr. Muchnick previously served as a member of the Senior Professional Staff to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, where he played a pivotal role in creating the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) following the attacks on 9/11. He has helped cyber innovators as well as finance-sector, manufacturing, and healthcare clients navigate the emergent and ever-changing policy and regulatory regimes that impact clients’ business and customer-facing systems.

Mr. Muchnick has managed the aerospace, defense, and homeland security portfolios at the American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics (AIAA), led a communications team at Unisys Corporation focused on the Department of Homeland Security and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and as the Director of Legislative Affairs for Turner Government and Public Affairs. Mr. Muchnick is also founder of The M2 Group and Fantasy Politics, which takes the immensely popular concept of fantasy sports (football, baseball, etc.) and applies it to politics.

Mr. Muchnick serves on the Board of The Healing Arts Kits, which develops and distributes art therapy kits for children to use during times of trauma. He earned his MPP in Public Policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and a BA in History from the University of California at Los Angeles.
