HillStaffer Adds Trade and Global Manufacturing Industry Veteran
WASHINGTON. D.C. – HillStaffer, a leading public policy and government affairs consulting firm, today announced the appointment of Edward Desmond, a seasoned expert in international trade and global manufacturing, as Senior Advisor.

Prior to HillStaffer Ed served as Executive Vice President of Global Government & Regulatory Affairs at the Toy Association, where he established the organization’s first Washington, D.C. office and spearheaded the development of a comprehensive global government affairs program. He also launched the Congressional Toy Caucus and created the industry’s first PAC, demonstrating his ability to enhance industry influence and engagement with policymakers. Ed’s experience also includes roles at major pharmaceutical and healthcare companies including Hoffmann-La Roche, FHP International, and Ciba-Geigy/Novartis, where he developed strategies for product liability, tax, and reimbursement issues.
