HillStaffer Advantage

A MORE EFFECTIVE GOVERNMENT RELATIONS SOLUTIONS

Effective Government Relations requires a deep understanding of the legislative and regulatory process, the subject matter, and the decision-makers. With over 65 House and Senate Committees, almost 200 Subcommittees, dozens of federal agencies, as well as the extraordinary number and complexity of legislative and regulatory issues, it is economically unfeasible for the typical government relations firm to employ all the professionals with the specific expertise and background for every issue. Rather, they make their people fit every need—whether they are a fit or not.

At HillStaffer, by providing access to a vast bipartisan network of former Capitol Hill staffers and senior federal Agency officials who we bring on board in response to a specific client need, we are able to tap the right Government Relations Consultant with directly relevant experience and expertise for a perfect fit—every time.

A HIGHLY EFFICIENT AND COST-EFFECTIVE DELIVERY MODEL TAILORED TO YOUR NEEDS

Because we don’t bring our Government Relations Consultants on board until a specific client need arises, our approach is not only more effective, but significantly more efficient, resulting in dramatically lower costs to our clients.  No need to pay for the expensive overhead and ongoing payroll costs of the typical government relations firm. You pay only for the services you need, to the extent of your need, when you need them. The Government Relations Consultant assigned to your matters can work from your offices or work remotely, carry your business card or ours, the choice is yours. For our consultants, we will handle all lobbying disclosure obligations.

NO LONG-TERM CONTRACTS. NO HIGH MONTHLY RETAINERS

A typical government relations firm requires its clients to enter into 12 month contracts charging $10,000, $15,000 or more a month, every month.  If a lobbying firm works an average 8 to 10 hours a month on a particular client’s matters, it results in an effective hourly rate of $1,000 or more.

At HillStaffer, there are no long-term contracts. You only pay for time actually used at hourly rates that are a fraction of those rates charged by the typical lobbying firms or law firms. With low monthly minimums, we can work with you to stay within any budget. If your needs change, you can easily adjust your monthly lobbying expenditure, change the Government Relations Consultant working on your matters or terminate the engagement.
